IPL 2022: 3 batters who could score the most runs in the SRH vs KKR clash

In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will face the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in match number 25. On Friday, April 15th, the two teams will clash at Brabourne Stadium.

So far, the Kolkata Knight Riders have had a strong showing in this competition. They have won three of their four games and are now second in the standings. Sunrisers Hyderabad, on the other side, has won two of their first four games and is aiming to establish some consistency in the competition.

KKR leads the head-to-head record between the two teams, having won 13 of their 20 meetings with SRH. As they battle for two points, both captains will be aiming to lead from the front with the bat in hand. In this competition, there should be a good combination of traditional stroke-making and power-hitting.

On that topic, let’s look at three hitters that have the potential to score the most runs in tonight’s game.

Kane Williamson

Kane Williamson, the Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper, scored a critical half-century to help his team beat the Gujarat Titans in their last match.

Against one of the most comprehensive bowling teams in the IPL, the Kiwi international will have to lead from the front once more. Given the uncertainty surrounding Rahul Tripathi’s fitness, the captain’s role in scoring crucial runs for his team against KKR may be increased.

Shreyas Iyer

So far in the IPL season, the newly chosen Kolkata Knight Riders skipper has blown hot and cold. Iyer has gotten off to fantastic beginnings with scores of 20, 13, 26, 10, and 54, but he hasn’t been able to capitalize on them.

While Shreyas Iyer’s average of 30 and strike rate of over 150 indicate that he’s been performing well so far, he’ll be looking for a big knock in the tournament.

This might very well happen against the Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday night, as his team attempts to rebound back from their loss to the Delhi Capitals.

Andre Russell

Andre Russell is a bit of a risk on this selection, with an average of just over 12 against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL. Match-ups and statistics, on the other hand, will be tossed out the window if the West Indian is in the mood.

In this IPL, SRH is the only team having four-speed bowling options and one spinner in their lineup. Russell will have one less match-up to worry about now that their sole spinner, Washington Sundar, is sidelined.

While the SRH bowling staff is talented, they will have to be at their best against Russel when they feed him speed. Fans may see an incredible mauling in the IPL this evening if the Jamaican manages to find his stride.
