The Consistency of Dominic Sibley, Rory Burns and Zak Crawley Will Be Challenged Soon

The Consistency of Dominic Sibley

The former England skipper Andrew Strauss supposes that Zak Crawley, Rory Burns and Dominic Sibley must be consistent to win England for Three Lions in Test matches. Strauss has shared his opinion on the Indian potential in the next Test matches.

The first Test against India at Trent Bridge exposed a fragile top-order of England over the past few series. Strauss commented on that:” It is a case of must do better. It’s been very tough. You’ve got to go back a long time to see conditions that have been as challenging for opening batsmen. But ultimately, that’s what they’re in the job to do and someone at some stage will grab that opportunity with both hands.”

Andrew Strauss thinks that Zak Crawley, Rory Burns and Dominic Sibley can be consistent in the future Test matches. However, he hasn’t seen that before so that’s going to be a challenge for the Indian players.

“They’re no different to myself and Alastair Cook and Mike Atherton and Graham Gooch when we started, it’s a huge challenge and you either pass that challenge, or you don’t and someone else gets a go,” the former England skipper said.

As we already know, the first Test between England and India ended with a draw score affected by rainy weather on the final day of the Test. The visitors were heading to the victory with nine wickets in hand and 157 runs needed when the rain spoiled their plans. India and England are going to compete against each other in the second Test, beginning on Thursday at the Lord’s Cricket Ground.
